I purchased a couple of replacements and am quite happy to find that there has been no decline in the quality of these fine hummingbird feeders. Key points:+ Perches (keeps the manic little beasts from wasting energy)+ Bottle is easy to clean+ Rubber-coating on the wire hanger keeps rust to a minimum.+ Wire is a thick gauge, easy to bend around branches, and durable+ Flowers can be removed for cleaning.+ Hummingbirds seem to like it- Top cap thing resists being screwed on- Base has a lot of tight spots that are difficult to clean- Packaging shows red-dye which is neither necessary or good for hummingbirds- Tries to sell you nectar mixes which spoil easy instead of just including a sugar water recipe (plant a hummingbird garden instead of trying to feed them nectar)

Top quality, looks way better than the picture and is huge. Now I won't have to fill my feeders so often. I bought two of these and my hummingbirds love them.

since it is too early to actually put it out, my review is based on my first reaction to receiving it. i hope that it draws in the area humming birds. it looks to be exactly as described and easy to use. i look forward to the first time that i will see them using it.

I like the product being glass and so do the hummers. It would be nice to see PP improve the rim or perch to a more durable one as it becomes flemsy and easily breaks away from the base over time. Also the the yellow ports should be changed to red so as to discourage bees.

The saucer type feeders are by far the easiest to clean thoroughly. It's not possible to get at the inside of the ports with this feeder and that worries me. It's non-toxic and safe for the environment and I would surmise a safer alternative to bleach for hummingbird feeders, yet, works like a charm. These products loosen that muck around the ports, but you really need a Droll Yankee port brush (GREAT PRODUCT). Hydrogen Peroxide works well too, but the foaming action of these products helps a bit.

Here's a great solution for the bleach debate - OxyClean or OxOBrite (latter is Trader Joe's brand). This one will be a spare for when I go on a trip and need to stretch my visiting hummers' nectar needs beyond 2 days. or a toothbrush to really get rid of that black gunk. I have eight saucer feeders so I need EASY TO CLEAN as my #1 priority.
