The birds love them. Three came in square boxes leaving plenty of room for external impacts. Why they used a different box is beyond me. I had ordered 4 feeders. They attach to the window very tightly. The feeders themselves are great. Each came in a seperate box. If you install the suction cups first there should be no problems with them staying put.
The 4th came in a thinner box and arrived broken. The only problem I had was the shipping. This will make cleaning the base much easier. I did get a refund but really wanted 4 feeders. They also have a larger opening in the base(where the bottle attaches) than most feeders.
NOT WORTH IT. I can't mount it to the glass without it sliding. I just bought this and HATE IT because of this. The suction cups on this are WAY TOO SMALL for the HEAVY GLASS. I had to put it on the ground because I can't get the suction cups to stick long enough without the whole thing sliding. it's totally ridiculous. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
This is the best window feeder. These suction cups are great and they stay up all season. I've tried others and they fell off the window. The glass is heavy duty and easy to clean.
Note if you have lights on during dusk it may scare the hummingbirds away. I would also recommend don't push the glass feeder all the way to the bottom. I purchased this for my mother and she loves it. You can get to the suction cups and press them firmly against the window. Also if you have other bird feeders in the area it also seems to scare the little fellows away. They are amazing. Then you can place the glass feeder into the slot next. We have also found that you need to put this out in the early spring so they know it there.
If you try to attach the feeder to the window with the glass attached it doesn't work. Please note when you attach it to a window remove the glass feeder and attatch the hanger part first. After 3 years the sun has finally taken its toll on the plastic hanger part and I'll be buying her a new one for Christmas this year. You can really see them very close up with this feeder. The first year we put it out mid-late summer and didn't attract any hummingbirds.
I will go out shopping tomorrow, and purchase something else. I received this product today, and because of the frame work that is around the suction cups, it is virtually impossible to press this on any window or french door. What were they thinking. Poor product. A total waste of money.
